AEDC official stabbed to death from behind while disconnecting light, another narrowly escapes with serious injuries

 

A staff of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company met his death while disconnecting the Electricity of customers who were late on their payments. He was killed by a stab wound. The AEDC employees we're working in the Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja when a man violently assaulted them from behind on Tuesday afternoon February 25th. 

One of them narrowly escaped with serious injuries, while the other could not make it. The dead body of the AEDC official has been taken to the mortuary in the Kabusa area as reported by The Guardian. The killer has been arrested by the police and he is awaiting trials. The head of Corporate Communications at AEDC confirmed the incident.  

In Fadipe’s words, two of their workers were attacked, unfortunately, one died while the other is in intensive care in an undisclosed Hospital. He said of recent, most AEDC customers are attacking their staff.  Fadipe, on behalf of AEDC, said they will go to the highest length to bring the culprits to justice and will not take subsequent incidents lightly with anybody anymore.
